Vietnam to Cambodia Charity Challenge
Posted on 03 Oct 2017
Later this month, our MD Richard O’Donnell and Commercial Director Ian Lockhart will be travelling to Vietnam to undertake a charity challenge of a lifetime. On the 12th October they will embark upon a 400km cycle from Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) to the ancient temples of Angkor Wat in Cambodia to raise money for Alder Hey Children’s Charity. The challenge will see the pair tackle the 400km cycle over an impressive six days.
Although they will experience stunning scenery and historic architecture, they will also have to battle the tropical monsoon climate! With temperatures reaching around 30 degrees and the intense humidity averaging around 80%, the challenge presents cycling conditions that are far from ideal. However, raising much needed funds for this amazing charity will make all the demanding cycling conditions worthwhile.
Following the success of our London to Paris charity cycle earlier this summer, this challenge hopes to raise even more money to support Alder Hey Children’s Charity in the incredible work that they do. Every penny raised will go directly to helping the young patients at Alder Hey.
Richard and Ian have set themselves an ambitious fundraising target so your support to help them reach it is greatly appreciated! To support their mission to raise money for this very worthy cause, please visit the JustGiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ilandrodv2c
